Not downloading mails

Almost every time I access emails I can't connect to the server, or it just throws up errors

Is Sky / Yahoo that bad or just me?

Any idea why Sky stick with Yahoo for mails if it doesn't work with IOS that well?

It seems to be an iOS problem rather than Sky Yahoo Mail, which used to work ok on Apple devices and continues to work fine on other platforms. It would be rather like the tail wagging the dog for Sky,to switch email provider to fix a fault,which Apple, appear to have created.
