Adding my sky/yahoo email onto a new devise

I have purchased a new IPad and am unable to link my sky/yahoo email to it. ****@sky.com

I have a gmail account but its not my primary email.

I can access emails on my phone on the sky/yahoo email and the google one, but only the Google one is pulling through emails on the iPad.

I have used the trouble shooting guide and talked at length to a sky operative who promised to call me back but never did.

I'm spending hours trying all sorts of things but need help.

On your iPad what are you using to try to access your Sky emails, are you using the apple mail app or have you installed the Outlook one ?

Hi its the outlook app that is where I can see the gmail ones

Were the Sky details altermatically transfered to the new iPad (assuming it was replacing an older one) or are you trying to set it up from scratch?

HI I have never had an IPad before its works perfectly on my iphone, I understand we have to have a gmail account as well for sky and that email has authomatically transferred to the iPad.

If you are trying to set the account up via Outlook then use these settings:

Select either "Other" or "Not Yahoo" then use these settings:

Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server

Server - imap.tools.sky.com
Port - 993
Requires SSL - Yes

Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server

Server - smtp.tools.sky.com
Port - 465
Requires SSL - Yes
Requires authentication - Yes

You will then need to generate a 16 digit password and use that instead of your usual one, you can do that here:

Are you also using Outlook on the phone?.

As you have an iPhone, everything should be the same.

You do not have to have a gmail account for Sky email, but you should have an alternative address for password recovery purposes

Hi I have outlook and yahoo apps both on phone & iPad but only the gmail emails are accessible on the iPad. Sky say they should link together. As I mention even they couldn't help .. I think the promise to call be back as just to get off the phone ha.

So where are you seeing the gmail emails, in the outlook app and where do you want to see the Sky emails, also on the outlook app ?
