emails not showing images within them.

Since switching to SKY broadband any image in my incoming emails is not shown/downloaded - including SKY publicity. Previously with BT, these images would automatically be shown/downloaded. All I see is a small square saying image available on website.

If conencting via any other network (eg BT at work) the images continue to automatically show/download.

What should I do, as it is annoying?

How are yo viewing your emails? App or web? And if app, which one?

Emails received via gmail account. Message seen saying "Your network prefences prevent content from loadong privately". SKY router connected as received. I was never asked to set preferences.

Still a little confused. Do you have a Sky email account?

I suspect this problem is due to settings in your email app or posssibly browser. (if that is how you view your email)

I doubt it is anything to do with Sky, neither the broadband or the router,

How are you getting the message about the network preferences?

I agree it's unlikely to be anything to do with Sky.

Did you get any luck with this? I am facing same issue. My Gmail account (using Mail app on Apple Mackbook) wouldn't load any image automatically after switching to Sky. Did not have such issue when I was with Vodafone network until last month. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks X.

Have you checked for any possible settings on the app that might need changing ?

Couldn't find any obvious setting on Mail app that may be blockng the image content. Interestingly, as soon as I switch to personal Hotspot using mobile network, I don't get that exception anymore and images gets loaded successfully.

Have you had a look at your broadband shield settings if you are a Sky broadband customer as I wonder if this could be why these images are not being shown.

@Alok2 if you check on the forum, you'll see the Mail app has had various intermittent issues for some while. I suspect this is another. It may start working again within a few days without you doing anything.
