Sky email to Outlook

Has anyone else been having issues with getting email to a Sky address on their desktop/laptop using Outlook only I.e. it works to a smart phone or a web app?

Apparently, so I was told, Sky in its infinite wisdom no longer supports Office365 Outlook.

Was anyone told?

Shame it took about six calls and seven hours of calls to be finally told what the issue was.

Apparently instead of the extremely common Outlook platform, now need to use something like Windows mail if you want to manage emails on your computer.

Outlook works fine on a desktop or laptop if you use a generated password in place of your normal Sky password.

I use Outlook 19 which is the same version as Outlook 365 perfectly satisfactorily.

Don't know who told you that, and it depends on what you mean by supported?

As @Mark39 says there is no problem using Outlook, but it will need a generated password.
