Yahoo server down/ hacked e-mail account

Our e-mail account with Sky/Yahoo appears to have been hacked. I tried adding two-factor authentification + password change but Yahoo server appears to be down for me to be able to do this. I can't contact Yahoo unless I pay them. Anybody had a similar issue?

I don't think you can add two factor authentification on a Sky email account, while it might be possible to do it with a Yahoo email one.

If you are sure it has been hacked then change the password:

https://skyid.sky.com/resetpassword/

And look for any filters that have been setup that should be there (Settings > More Settings > Filters). Also make sure that the reply to address is yours (Settings > More Settings > Mailboxes > Your Sky email address > Reply to address).

Thanks for that. SKY MAIL no longer exists as they subcontracted that out to YAHOO years ago. I spoke to SKY and the tech team confirmed that YAHOO is nothing to do with them, so they couldn't help. I have changed my sky password, but still got the old password for Yahoo mail, as the passwords are no longer connected. So hacker also has access to my e-mails! A bit rubbish really.

Actually, i apologise, you are right.....I logged out of YAHOO on all devices and needed new SKY PASSWORD to login...so must have worked. Why didn't the SKY tech man tell me that!.

That's not entirely true. The Sky email runs on Yahoo's platform, but Sky have control of it, which is why the Yahoo options don't work for us.
