Hello everyone

A couple of months ago my sky email account was hacked, and since then, has been unusable.

No incoming emails as such. Some are coming through, but just into my spam box.

Sky are 100%, eighteen carat useless, and about as much use as a chocolate fireguard, and I can't get through to anyone that might possibly be able to help. All I get is put through to a call centre in India, and can't hear what they're saying!

I've had this email address for about 20 years, and changing to another email address is a real pain.

I keep getting messages to say that my Sky account settings are out of date, but when I click on it, it just takes me through to Office 365, where it wants me to buy a new copy. For some reason, I can't change any settings.

Any ideas anyone?

Do I need to take my laptop to a specialist?

Typically a hacker will set up a filter to divert your incoming emails elsewhere, so that would be the first thing to check.

Messages about your email account being out of date are usually not genuine. If you've previously received one of these, and clicked on the link it contains, you've probably divulged your login details to a scammer, rather than being hacked. Have you reset your password?
