Sky erased all contacts and emails when my account was hacked . No help from the call centres .

When reporting a hacking of my computer , no UK number was available .Instead call Centre number was the ONLY access for urgent help. There they seemed more switched to selling Sky Broadband. Briefly I was eventually , after 4 calls, advised to set up a Sky Yahoo email account from my old sky.com email set up.

In the process all my emials old and new , AND all my contacts were lost. The call centres have not been a help in restoring these .

Its a disaster .Any help with this would be appreciated .

Sky cannot erase your contacts and emails, but if a hacker has gained access to your account, they certainly can. I can't follow the sequence of events here, from your post or what you mean by setting up a new Sky Yahoo Mail account, which is impossible as Sky don't allow new email accounts.

Are you still able to log in here: https://www.sky.com/signin/email

If so, and if your emails and contacts are no longer there, I would guess the hacker has deleted them. There's nothing you can do about lost contacts unless you have a backup but you might be able to retrieve some lost emails here: https://uk.help.yahoo.com/kb/account/recover-lost-deleted-emails-sln2552.html

If you login to the account they are supposed to be on and they are not there then regarding the contacts they will be gone for good.

If your computer was hacked (which I seriously doubt, more likely you gave your details to a scammer) what do you think Sky can do about it?

The only thing you can do now. is change your password, https://skyid.sky.com/resetpassword/email and correct any changes they may have made, and hope you can recover some emails via the links above.
