I have had a sky e mail since sky first introduced it. Since signing up for Sky Glass my sky e mail couldn't be used so I had to use my wifes. As a result all the usual sky e mails now go to her. And if she remembers she has to forward on to my sky e mail which makes a mockery of the whole thing. I was told this is because of some legal issues with Sky. Seems ridiculous to me and makes a mockery of my so called SKY VIP status as you can't even contact me directly anymore

You could have set up another email address and used that like a Gmail or Outlook.com one and used that, if you want to do this then you should be able to change the address from your wife's to this new email address here:

https://www.sky.com/myaccount/my-details

I can't see any reason why that would be the case. My Sky Yahoo Mail email address continued to work perfectly ok after signing up for Sky Glass. There must be more to it.

Yes that's correct and now all my Sky correspondence needs to be routed to my wife's e mail as that had to be the prime contact all because sky glass does not recognise sky.com e mail. Seems really strange as I've had my sky.com e mail over 20 years

Understood. Might be easier, then, to set up a new email address as @caesarome suggested, and change to it in your Sky Glass account.

You can then get Gmail to forward any emails sent to it to your Sky email address so you would only have to check the one account. I do something similar in that any odd email sent to my Sky email account gets forwarded onto my Gmail account.
