I keep getting emails purporting to be from sky telling me my sky.com email service is going to be deleted because I am using an out of date email app. I dont think this is true, all my devices are using IOS 12.5 or 16+ or Google Chrome (installed ~18 months ago), so I dont see how I can be using an out of date app. Ive tried calling sky on the phone but all I get is a robot telling me it cant understand my question. Is this for real, or is it a phishing attack? I need someone from sky to confirm theyve been sending me these emails.

It's a customer Community so it's unlikely Sky will reply here. They wouldn't know what app you're using, and even if you were using one that Sky doesn't support, it wouldn't result in your Sky Yahoo Mail service being removed. I think you can safely conclude that these emails are indeed an attempted phishing attack. There are regular reports of such emails doing the rounds.
