Re-directing an old email address

I have a very old ntlworld email address which people still can use, but I can't access it on all my devices as I have forgotten the password. I want to be able to redirect all the emails to my new address, but I can't access the account without an account number and I don't have an active account. How can I redirect the emails?

Is the account number not the email address?

I suggest you ask on the Virgin forum, they still seem to be happy to administer NTLworld addresses.

Edit: if you are accessing the email via a browser, it should be easy to find out what password the browser is using.
