No incoming emails - IPhone

Having sporadic problems with imap.tools.sky.com on the iPhone in the last 2-3 weeks. Getting error messages: "imap doesn't support password authentication", and/or "imap.tools.sky.com is not responding".

I'm running the latest iOS, and tried the new 16 digit password generator, but no consistent fix....

If you take a quick look through recent posts, you'll see thay many people are having problems with Apple Mail, which I guess is what you 're using?

So I see lots of other users with a similar problem, but I don't see any solution? Is it a Sky problem then ?

There is no soloution for that error as Apple are aware, the only way round it is to not use the Apple app but instead use one like Outlook instead, or login to the Sky website to access your emails,

As no other client or,app is affected, it appears to be a problem solely with the Apple Mail app. Other posters have contacted Apple, who are aware. It might be a good idea for you to report it to them too.

I have this problem to spoke to sky they said yahoo is gaving server problems will be a week before up and running sound like they have been hacked and as usuall sky hasnt said anything about this only interested in taking your money

Sorry @Alec+21 but, despite what Sky have told you, it's only Apple's clients having problems. All other aps/clients are working fine (even on Apple). I very much doubt it is Yahoo's servers ar fault.

I agree with @jayach. Given that other operating systems and apps are working fine, it's highly unlikely to be anything to do with Sky's servers. In any event, you don't pay for Sky Yahoo Mail.
