IMAP passwords keep failing

I have recently changed my Sky ID password and since then I keep getting messages on both Ipad and Iphone to change my IMAp password. Is there a way I can manually put in a pssword that will work across both rather than use a system generated password that I guess I will have to remember in the future.

Apple devices don't usually require the generated password, but you will need to reinstall the Sky account on them, making sure it is recognised as a Yahoo account.

If you do use a generated password, there is no need to remember it.

I don't use Apple devices, but basically remove the account from the Mail app, and then reinstall it.
