Spam quarantined

I am having problem accessing quarantined email. I know what the email is, and I need to open it. The address is added as a contact. When I click to the security centre in yahoo webmail, it asks me to login to Outlook, when I do, it tells me that as Outlook is a personal account (it is) then the Security centre isn't available. Does anyone have any suggestions please?

The email is shows, but is from Microsoft saying the message is in quarantine. Then, when I click to go to review it, it takes me to Microsoft account to login.

@Simon+E I've never experienced this personally, but from a bit of research, that would be normal. Once you've logged into Microsoft you should be able to search for, and release the quarantined email.

I'm guessing you're using the standard Microsoft Defender anti virus etc package, which is what has,quarantined the email.

I've never heard of emails being quarantined, and I don't know of a security centre in Sky|Yahoo webmail.

However if "something" has quarantined it, there is probably a good reason.

if you could tell us more, perhaps we can help. maybe a picture of the message?

That tends to say that the email in question is in your Outlook account, absolutely nothing to do with Sky|Yahoo.

So what if you access your email here: Sign in to your account

Hi Jayach,

Totally agree, it's an Outlook issue. I've got as far as asking for it to be released through the Security Center, and it tells me as I'm logging in with a Personal Oulook account (rather than work) I can't access it!

Is this a corporate or school Outlook account, if so you should have an admin to advise you?
