I cannot send any Sky emails from my iPhone, iPad or MacBook. I am receiving Sky emails on all three. I can send emails from iCloud etc. previously it was just the iPhone only that was a bit temperamental. I have not changed any settings. I can log into my Sky email account and everything is ok there.

Hi, yes 'cannot send mail the username or password is incorrect'. I have not changed anything on any of the three devices

It might be worth logging in here and generating yourself a 16 digit password:

https://www.sky.com/sky-yahoo-mail/manage-apps?client=email

Then using this on your Sky email account on your devices instead of your usual password to see if this then allows it to work.

My fix was to change the outgoing smtp port from 465 to 587.

tried loads of other stuff, this fixed it for me.

seems for some reason sky is blocking port 465, this only started a week or so ago for me?
not sure why the change.

I am using Reg-123 mail server as they host my domain.

The normal outgoing port works if using the phone as the connection I only have an issue if going via the sky router and with apple devices. Port 465 works with windows11 and outlook going through the sky router with the same mail account. Very strange?
was ok about a week ago, I wonder if it was linked to iOS update to 26.5 and why with the sky router ?
port 587 seems to work with the outgoing smtp server and the server times out using 465.

Changing the port has not fixed the problem, several emails did connect to the server.

This morning the same issue, I get outgoing server timeout.

Still working when using mobile data, so the problem is only when I use the broadband router.
