    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;like you all I have suffered SKY settings ignoring my settings including their own solution of how to turn off the 2 stage&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://www.sky.com/help/sky-yahoo-mail/two-step-verif/articles/two-step-verification" target="_blank"&gt;https://www.sky.com/help/sky-yahoo-mail/two-step-verif/articles/two-step-verification&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;. It states verification is turned off - but when shut down and restart - it doesn't. If I use e-mclient - no request to 2 stage. On SKY's own help section I cleared the cache / cookies / history (Firefox) - to no avail. I phoned SKY and after the usual lie-through-my-teeth to evade the algorithm bot that tries to send a SMS solution I got a human. Rep 1 acknowledged the problem and tried to refer me to the actual department that actually deals with 2 stage verification. But SKY's internal phone-to-phone was down so could not getthrough to that department but promised to phone back in an hour. However no phone-back in the promised hour -so contacted again at hour 2 -&amp;nbsp; hence why rep 2 and rep 3 then rep4.&amp;nbsp; Rep 2 sympathised and referred me to rep 3 who made a huge fuss about the&amp;nbsp; need for security requiring 2 stage verification e-mails always,&amp;nbsp; but did refer me to rep 4 after I explained that I am the sole user on PC and e-mails used are not consequential .&amp;nbsp;After reps 2 then 3 I was put through to rep4 - the actual department that deals with this issue of 2 stage. They (rep4)&amp;nbsp; admitted the system is broke and should be repaired within a week from 26th May.&amp;nbsp; Total worka round time was 10 days online then phone yesterday to get an answer. Previously the 2 stage verification was optional - now it is locked in despite turning it off.&amp;nbsp; Annoyingly is also picks up recovery gmail account to let me know&amp;nbsp; all this - an acocunt I don't use but is there. There is an email there saying 2 stage verification is in place -despite turning it off by link above. Recovery code doesn't work as there is no log in for as it always goes straighty -&amp;nbsp; code-to-phone. What is worse SKY afre unaware that not all mobile phone services are pristine - our service can be a bit flaky so no guarantee of connection which is a hoot given limited time of code is live. Why do SKY etc presume? I know the pareto principle of the 80:20 rule - but if you are in the 20 - then it's tough sh**. If SKY was an online bank they would have no customers by now. So we will see if rep4 is telling the truth and SKY fixes the debacle. And 'no' I don't want to sign in for 30 days thank you - I don't want to sign in at all. Its called customer preference and the "customer is always right" or are they and just a cash cow for some code developer to fiddle with? If it ain't broke - don't fix it.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Sky / Yahoo appear to have enforced their two step verification to everyone,&amp;nbsp; whether or not the customer requested it.&amp;nbsp; Which is annoying.&amp;nbsp; I looked up a recent solution on this discussion group to disable,&amp;nbsp; but it was clearly out of date and did not work.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If possible, could someone please post a simple to follow process, in order to turn off two step verification.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;It needs to be up to date, as older solutions no longer work.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Fortunately I was sent my new 'recover code' this morning.&amp;nbsp; Which is probably part of the solution.&amp;nbsp; My 'recovery code' appears to have been updated, too.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Which is rather odd.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Many thanks for your help.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;If you sign in with your recovery code then it should then disable it but I have no idea if you will be asked to set it up again the next time you login so if you do you do need to make a note of the recovery code you will be shown on screen.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I've been asked for two-step verification this morning which I wasn't expecting. I'm signed up to it, but it hadn't been thirty days since I last did it (on one specific device).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I then received an email confirming it was me that had done it (it was) which I've not received before.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've spoken with Sky and they confirmed all is well - no change to details etc. - but something has changed as using the link to Sky Mail I've been using for ages it now always asks me to go through the whole process from username rather than just asking for password.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Anybody else had this for the first time today?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;If it says it should remember you for 30 days it should do unless you have any settings that delete your cookies on exiting your browser as you would then need to sign in again if this is how it is setup via your browser.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

But as soon as you subsequently try to log in again to Sky Yahoo Mail,&amp;nbsp; you're automatically re-enrolled. There's no opt out opportunity.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I'm curious - did you get a page asking for your mobile number and giving you a Recovery Code? When I'm forced to re-enrol, it just uses the number I had set up before.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you for your reply, Caesarome.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;If you sign in with your recovery code, it does &lt;STRONG&gt;not&lt;/STRONG&gt; disable the two step verification.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;It simply allows you access your email.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; I should know;&amp;nbsp; I just did it this afternoon.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Nobody has yet provided a solution, which is a shame.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;I did not request the two step verification; my account was just updated and I was not notified.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; I would guess SKY have updated security and they are not providing an 'opt out' that actually works.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;If anyone has any solutions, please could you let me know.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Thank you.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
