Sky yahoo inbox not expanding to show other folders in ios pp

When i go on the yahoo email app the inbox button at the bottom left has stopped expanding to show all other folders ie deleted spam etc.

it was working ok until the last update on ios.
I have checked through a web browser and all folders are still there.
why have they stopped showing in the ios app.
any ideas will be appreciated

Have you tried deleting then installing the app again ?

@Mark810 I'm sure I've seen the same thing reported by another mail user recently. Seems to be some sort of incompatibility between the most recent iOS update and the Yahoo Mail app.

I'd suggest using your browser or a different mail app until either Apple or Yahoo fix it.

There are a number of comments on Twitter about this issue.

Having updated the OS on my iPhone a few days ago, the Inbox icon in the Yahoo Mail app v26.13.0 won't expand to reveal the sub-folder structure when tapped. This effectively shuts users off from anything in their folder structure beyond what is in the main Inbox. It is still possible to tick a message in the Inbox and to move it to a folder location but that is all. It is currently one way traffic.

I exchanged messages with another Twitter user yesterday and again this morning and he confirmed the following from Yahoo's Customer Care account (assume this was a DM to the user, as Yahoo had been asking users to DM their email addresses). It said:

"We recommend using the browser version until this bug is fixed. Unfortunately, we don't have a timeframe yet, but our team is working on a resolution. Thank you for your patience and inderstanding."

Unfortunately, as of 17:30 hrs today (Tuesday 7th April) there is nothing official on the @YahooCare Twitter by way of placatory message confirming there is an issue and the stock response to queries is still "we would love to take a look into this matter. Could you please DM us with your email address and some additional details regarding the issue?"

When, of course, they could just defuse this by posting a general "look, we know. There's an issue with the Inbox icon in the app and we're working on fixing it. Meantime, just continue to use the browser facility as this is unaffected and we'll update you again here when we have news." But that would be just too simple, wouldn't it?

Whether this is an Apple update issue or an app update issue, who knows? But my very elderly iPad with the same mail app is functioning normally, so pick the bones out of that. Either way, the app developers need to get busy as it has been a few days of disruption to users on the go now.

Hi @Mark810. There is an update to the yahoo mail app on the Apple Store this morning which has fixed this issue for me, all sub folders available again.

I Think you are going to need to provide a few more details before we can help. For a start, are you using an Apple device, which is what this thread is about?
