Not getting verification codes for login to email

Suddenly today, I'm not getting sky veriifcation codes sent to my mobile no when I want to log into my sky email on my PC- Sky E mail set for 2 factor verification a while back, and all has been ok to date. I've checked on line for various advice but none of fixes seem to work. I thought it might be a problem with PC but the same problem occurs when as a test I tried to set up my sky email on my yahoo app on my i phone. I get as far as the verfication code page and then nothing comes through to my mobile. Any advice welcome

There have been a few reports this afternoon of this happening so if you haven't changed your mobile number so the text is going to the right one to access to the account try signing in with the recovery code you were asked to make a note of when setting up 2FA on your account.

@Beaker6967 without your Recovery Code you'll have to call and ask Sky to turn off 2 step verification on your behalf. It will take a few days.

@Beaker6967 presumably some sort of mobile networking issue. It's working fine here.

Me too. I wondered if it was something I'd changed but it wasn't. I had to use the recovery code.

Tried to set up 2FA again and still failed so I used a different mobile number and that worked. I'll give it a week or so then change it back to the original number and see what happens.

All other texts seem to be getting through like ones from my other phone and ones from the bank.

Odd innit.

Is the mobile you ised successfully with the same provider? I suspect some sort of cross-network issue.

My origian number I was using is a SKY O2 number and I have a second SIM in the phone from EE. When I changed it to the EE number I got the access number text immediately.

Actually the second SIM is 3 not EE, silly me.

This may sound totally daft but, having had the same issue with non-sending of verification codes and, having used my recovery code and still not getting anything sent through, I clicked on 'Cancel' to give up. Lo and behold, after rejecting a Yahoo spiel on privacy, T's&C's, cookies etc, I was taken straight to my emails!!

I have no idea how this has worked and, I don't care!

This is happening to me as well. Don't have a recovery code. My back up email option also not working. PLEASE HELP... I need my emails

I have just spent 40 minutes on the phone to Sky. Reset passwords, input codes etc. etc. End result, a request has gone to the relevant team to switch off two step verification. This can take up to 24 hours if no issuses arise.

It would appear that the problem has been recognised and updated information has been passed to call takers, at last.

Good luck everybody! I've been a Sky customer over 26 years and my patience has been worn down to a bare minimum.

@Catherine+Perryma , @Dorth if you didn't make a note of your Recovery Code, you'll either have to wait for Sky to fix the problem, or call Sky to ask them to turn off 2 step verificati9n on your behalf. Thay can take up to 72 hours, and it's entirely likely that Sky will be able to fix the problem before then.

Still can't get to sign in to my email no code coming through on my phone sky need to solve this problem it's not the first time this has happened try all day so I have given up as it's driving me crazy
