Can't Sign in to Yahoo email using two step verification. 6 digit code not going to my mobile

When I try to sign in to my Yahoo email with email address and two step verification, the 6 digit code is not going to my mobile. When I click 'Can't sign in with code' it asks for my recovery code which I can't remember. When I click Don't have your recovery code? it takes be back round saying "You'll need to have access to you mobile device or recovery code to sign into your account."

Please can you help me to access my email on my laptop. I can access my emails on my phone.

If you don't have a note of your Recovery Code, you'll have to call Sky and ask them to turn off 2 step verification on your behalf. It may take a few days.

I have been having the same issue. I rang Sky on 21/06/25 & asked if there was a problem & they said that they were aware of the problem & they were working on it... adding that it would be fixed within 48 hours... 11 days later & I'm still not receiving a code either.

I'm afraid you have been fobbed off as this is a line some will come out with when they do not know how to fix an issue as this type of response gets post on here quite often. There is a process involved where they can do this if you forgot to make a not of the recovery code but finding someone that knows how to do it is the main issue it seems.

I've a similar issue and have tried for days to resolve without success. Tried every step that support have offered but all failed to deliver. I thought that I was the only one with this issue and like you it's a very recent one.

If you kept a separate note of your Recovery Code as Sky recommended when you set up 2 step login, you can use it to turn it off.

If you didn't, you'll jave to contact Sky and they'll turn off 2 step verification on your behalf. It may take a while.

Unableto access Sky email

It should only ask for a recovery code if you are using the "can't sign in with the code" option so is this what you are trying to do ?

Is this your Recovery Code for 2 step login?

It was sent to your email address when you set up 2 step login, as well as displayed on screen with Sky's recommendation that you make a separate note of it.

If you didn't do that you'll have to contact Sky and they'll turn off 2 step login for you. It may take a while.

Phone lost unable to access email which holds recovery code

phone lost tonight

urgently need to access email account so that I can find details for tomorrow shift

clearly cannot access the code

and guess what the recovery code is i suppose in my email account which i cannot access - i think because cannot find it anywhere

any idea what it looks like?

When you setup two step autentication you were emailed the recovery code of which it did say to both make a note of and if possible to forward the email to a different email account for this very reason.

If you don't have access to this then you will have to contact Sky and ask then to deactivate this for you. Do note that there is a few days turn around on doing this so do not let the adviser wrongly tell you to go to Yahoo as they will not be able to help.

Can’t log in to email

I can't log into my email and keep been asked to sign into 2 step verification. But I'm not receiving any texts with this code.

I've tried speaking to someone about and I was promised a call back. Still no call.

I have important documents which I can't access.

Anyone else having issues?

If you have set up two step authentication then to turn it off use the recovery code to sign in.

To turn off 2FA sign in with the recovery code so at the login select "can't sign in with the code" link. You'll then be asked for the recovery code.

When you signed up to 2FA you were given a recovery code so if you didn't make a note of it then check the email you were also sent. If you still don't have this then you will have to call Sky as they should be able to turn this off but it can take a little while to be actioned. Also do not let them tell you to go to Yahoo as they will not be able to help.

Not receiving OTP code

Since last weekend, I have been unable to receive the One-Time Password (OTP) via SMS when attempting to log in to my Sky email account. Despite reaching out to Sky Support on Monday, I was informed that the matter had been escalated internally, yet the problem persists.

To summarize:

Issue: I cannot receive the OTP SMS required to access my Sky email account.
Current Status: I have waited several days without resolution, and I am unable to log in to my account as a result.
Response from Support: I received a call today stating that Sky no longer supports SkyYahoo email accounts, which I find puzzling since the issue is clearly related to OTP delivery — a service which should still be fully supported.
Tested Solutions: I have since tested a new Yahoo email account, and I am successfully receiving OTPs there, which confirms that the issue is specific to my Sky email account.

You should be able to login to your account with the recovery code that you were asked to make a note of or forward it to a different email address when you set this up on your Sky email account. failing that you will have to wait until Sky unlocks your account which as you are discovering is to an instant process.
