Outlook can not "log into the mails server"?

Hello! I just up graded to Windows 11 on my Desktop PC so now my Outlook 2003, which worked a treat on W10, is now not logging into the mail server for some known to me reason. I haven't changed anything from it orginal working state and when testing the servers everything else "complete"s except this. Any help will be greatly appreciated thanks. 🙂

You'll need to use an app password, in place of your normal Sky password in your Outlook setup. See the appropriate section here: https://www.sky.com/help/home/sky-yahoo-mail/setting-up-yahoo-mail/articles/getting-started-with-sky-yahoo-mail

Hello! Yes I've done that and even got a new one here, but still no joy with either one. 😑

Hmm. Have you checked your settings, per the section headed other email apps?

Well if you mean my pop3 and smtp settings yes they are the same as when on W10. ".mail.yahoo.com" for bother.

I sussed it! Looking a little deeper into my program files I noticed the file for my old outlook 2003 was missing the MicroSoft Office 2003 Service Pack 3 file. don't know why it dropped off when swopping over to Windows 11 from 10, but after a lengthy search on the intarweb I discovered MS no longer supports it, but I found a website that had the old free download which I did and waalaa! it's connected up again and downloaded all my missing files and saved messages.
