Can I keep my @sky.com email if I leave sky broadband

I cannot get a decent deal from Sky on my TV, broadband and landline anytime call costs, they are offering a package way more than a new customer gets, and I have been with them over 25 years! If I leave Sky completely can I keep my @Sky.com email address as it is the main one I use for important emails. This was answered a couple of years ago but is it still the same now in 2025? Can I use outlook on my phone or PC or do I need to use the web browser Yahoo site?

Any help appreciated as I have never done this in a long time since leaving Freeserve!!!!

@Mouse101 You can still use it but you must login to the yahoo site via web browser direct at least once a month to keep the account active and alive

Hi, Thanks for confirming what I had hoped, so if I do leave Sky completely I can get my important emails still sent to the sky.com address. Makes life simpler and probably seals the fate of Sky. Faster fibre for less cost elsewhere, and using both Freesat and Freeview recorders I will get most of what I watch on recordings!

@Mouse101 in your position I'd also gradually migrate away from Sky Yahoo Mail to a provider that's not tied to an ISP - eg Gmail, or Outlook.com

Yes, I already have all of those as well (good for multiple money off vouchers!) so would gradually migrate all sky to those. Thanks.

Hi Mouse101,

I am in the same position as you were in February 2025. I've been with SKY Digital since it's inception in 2000, and was a BETA user for SKY Broadband before it was rolled out. That dedication is ofcourse not reflected in what SKY charge me.

I cannot upgrade to SKY Full Fibre Broadband on my street because the Openreach FFTP network is not yet on my street. So I'm paying far too much for SKY Part Fibre (FTTC). Other providers' Full Fibre (FFTP) networks are on my street and cheaper than SKY Part Fibre.

SKY TV is also becoming far too expensive also.

Anyway to the point; Did you actually move away from SKY Broadband and successfully retain your SKY-YAHOO e-mail address?

Did you also move away from SKY TV?

You can keep your Sky Yahoo Mail email address without an active subscription, providing you log in to it regularly (at least 6 monthly via the sky.com website, if you normally use an email app ir client).
