cannot set up a Sky/Yahoo email account on Apple iMac.

I have an old ******@sky.com email address and I can receive emails to it on Yahoo Mail and also on my iPhone. But I cannot add the account to my Mail app on my Imac. I am told repeatedly that either my password is wrong ( even though I have changed it several times using 'Forgotten Password' and then checked to see if it works on Yahoo Mail, which it does). Also, I have used the password which is stored in my Apple keychain and which presumably is the one that is used by my iPhone for successful login but it is not accepted by the iMac.

I have also tried to set up the account by trying to use 'other ' rather than Yahoo in the list of Mail servers but without success.

I am an internet novice - and I would be grateful to be told if there is anything else that I can do. Thank you.

If you use "other" you will need to use a generated password. instead of your Sky password,

When you select it as a Yahoo account, are you taken to a new browser session to enter the password?

Your advice has worked for me. My Apple Mail now receives emails from my Sky account.
