Go to Settings (cog at the top right) then More Settings at the bottom of the popup

Go to Filters then Add a new filter

In the right hand pane, give your filter a name e.g. 'emails from xxxx'

Under Set Rules, select 'From'

Then choose 'contains' and in the filter value space, type the name of the sender you want to filter (you should only need the name, not the @ and the rest after it.

Then go down to Choose a Folder and select the Folder you want to move it the emails to

Then Save.

I haven't tried it, but that should work.

.

Can I start by saying that I am not very Techie and I find that instructions to do stuff often assumes so much - is there a way to filter my emails so that I can group all inbox emails by Sender - that would assist me following the thread of a conversation easier - I do a lot of work on my Family Tree in Ancestry and about 4 other genealogical sites and grouping emails by sender would be life changing if not time saving. Thank you in advance
