Scam e mails

Am being bombarded with scam e mails claiming to be from Sky. Am getting several each week & they seem to be originating from different e mail addresses so labelling them as spam does not help. Keep forwarding them to abuse@sky.com but they keep coming. E mails often seen legit so am worried that an unwary person may get caught out.. Any advice?

Only, I'm afraid, to remain vigilant and mark each one as spam when it arrives. That way 'the system' should eventually identify them as such and route them automatically the the Spam/Junk folder.

Unfortunately we see regular reports here of email users who unwittingly click on links in these fraudulent emails. They end up giving away their log in credentials to a scammer, and subsequently believe incorrectly that they've been hacked.

With these emails @sundy it is always worth being cautious as the chances are they are spam emails.

The things to look out for is how the email is addressed to you because if it was an email Sky they would use your actual name while spammers use things like "Dear User" or "Dear Sky customer"

Sky would not send you an email asking you to update anything to keep an account active..
