I've just received an email - see below that Norton Giene says is a scam - just wanted to earn others of this type of email doing its rounds!

It's definitely a scam. The link will take ypu to a fake login screen enabling the scammer to collect your username and password.

It has caught out many, who then believe their account has been hacked, but in reality they've just opened the door to a scammer by giving away their credentials.

A few ways you can tell:

Sky would usually address you by your first name so wouldn't say "Dear User"

They also wouldn't send you an email out of the blue with a link in it they want you to click through.

Sky wouldn't email you about a Microsoft version - whatever that is !

They wouldn't say anything about a message only lasting a certain time !

@Mark39thanks for the heads up and pointers for people who are vulnerable to these types of scams - I posted to warn others who might not be savvy to these types of scams because it does look so convincing. Thanks for your advice Mark!
