    <description>I switched broadband from Vodafone to sky. It goes live middle of next month. I requested to keep the current landline number. Then I get a message on My Sky regarding the switch and it says I will get a different landline number. I rang sky and said i want the same landline number that I currently have. I was told cancelling the order was the only way and then sign up again. They cancelled it, I signed up to sky broadband again and again I'm given a different landline number. Anyone else having issues porting their number with sky</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/94397"&gt;@fah4d&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;yes, there have been previous posts reporting problems with porting landline numbers. Sometimes it's for technical,reasons as &lt;a href="https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/9873"&gt;@GD1&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;posted, occasionally it's because Sky mistakenly didn't ask for the number to be ported from the previous provider, and occasionally because the previous provider didn't act on the porting request.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Sky have taken the correct action in your case by cancelling and re-ordering Sky Broadband/Talk, which still hasn't resulted in your number being ported. It would seem very unlikely, in the circumstances that they failed to request porting,of the number a second time having been put on notice that it didn't happen the first time.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
