The simplest solution would be to purchase cordless DECT phones. The base station phone plugs into the Hub. You then place additional linked handsets wherever you want in the house. They just need to be near a normal plug socket. They then are automatically linked to the base station phone.

Just moved from BT to Sky and I don't anticipate this problem - our router/hub is in the integral garage, not in the living spaces - how do I get my landline to work? With BT the phones connected wirelessly - from what I can gather, now we have switched, this isn't possible with the Sky Hub 😱.

I can't have a landline telephone in my garage - what can I do?

@Mateoducks the simplest solution is probably to invest in a DECT cordless phone, where the base station plugs into your Hub, and the handset connects wirelessly to it, to make and receive calls (essentially the same as you had with BT, but with an additional base station). Any standard DECT phone should be fine - I've always used Panasonic kit which isn't unduly expensive.

The other less convenient alternative would be to run an extension cable from the Hub to a standard phone socket.

Of all the ISPs, only BT (and so by extension EE) has a century of heritage in the manufacture of telecoms hardware: no-one else has handsets or digital telephone adaptors which talk with their routers.
