Your broadband Hub will need to be connected to your master phone socket (the one in the kitchen?) and your phone will need to be plugged into your broadband Hub. Your phone won't work if it's connected directly to a wall socket.

@Yousefm1234 no worries. Yes that's full fibre which means you'll have a new indoor wall box (an Optical Network Terminal or ONT). You'll have some choice as to where it's placed, but it will need to be reasonably close to where the fibre optic cable is run outdoors. You'll be able to discuss where the ONT is located with the installer.

Your broadband Hub will be plugged into the ONT and your phone handset plugged into your Hub. If there's a problem with where its location, you could consider buying a cordless DECT phone (they're not expensive) which has a base station that plugs into your Hub, but you can have the handset wherever it's convenient.

If Sky is offering you FTTP then that means every other ISP will do the same: they won't have an option to order a wholesale copper circuit at an address within reach of full fibre.

But be aware that without a technical survey undertaken by the installer, there's a limit to what they can tell you.

With regard to your alarm system, give the supplier a call. They'll be used to this type of query.
