Crakling noise on calls

I have a BT cordless phone set which has now developed a crackling sound on all calls in and out which makes it difficult to hear.

This has happened before but I can't remember what solved the problem last time

If you haven't done it yet try the below line test. Disregard it saying it will test your broadband

@JD402 does your phone plug into your broadband Hub? Or into a wall socket?

If it's a wall socket, does it have separate ports for broadband and phone? Or just one?

Do you have a standard,corded phone you could try, to rule out a problem with your cordless phone?

Yes my phone plugs directly into a BT wall socket which has separate ports for phone and broadband.

No I havent got standard corded phone

@JD402 yes, sometimes just running the test clears it. If the fault returns, let us know.
