Caller number display not working on my landline (BT Premium) phone

Caller display is activated automatically for all Sky Talk customers but having just purchased a new BT Premium Phone which should allow me see who is calling before I pick up, I am not getting this display but simply 'incoming call'. I spoke to Sky at the weekend who confirmed that there was nothing stopping caller display from their end and having spoken to the BT Help desk today, they have referreed me back to Sky as there was nothing on the phone to prevent the incoming caller number being displayed. Frustrating as the caller display function was one of the main reasons for us updating our landline phone and wonder if anyone else has experienced this problem.

Does this happen with all incoming calls or just one?

Very occasionally the Caller ID information creates that result, but,it shouldn't happen on every call from within the UK.

We have only had the new phone a few days but all the calls received over the weekend (from landline & mobile phones) have not shown the callers number but simply 'incoming call'.

Our previous phone didn't support caller display which was one of the main reasons for updating it! My hunch is it is a Sky landline problem but they are denying it at this stage.

I think you're probably right. I would suggest calling again. If your line is not within Sky's own network (SVBN), some features aren't available. I don't know if Caller ID is one of them.

ive just signed up with Sky Broadband and Talk and the Caller Id is not working, how do I activate it? I am using a BT Decor 2200.

Caller ID is activated automatically. If it's not working, and it's been a few days since your Sky phone service was activated, I'd give them a call.

I cant get caller number/id display since I joined sky (I had it when I was with NOW broadband ) I have contacted Sky several times but they at first didnt reply then they started mainly say stay on the line and we'll get back to you but never did , finally they said we'll send an Openreach engineer too check the line which they did he said line ok no problem it must be Sky's problem and he told them this ,Still waiting for an answer still waiting two weeks later ??? seriuosly thinking of finding another broadband provider

@DenB64 I'd suggest either giving them another call to chase it up, or raising a complaint: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/how-to-make-a-complaint
