UPGRADE but also keep landline number. Moving from copper to fibre

Our broadband and 24/7 phone package are up for renewal. We haven't fully decided yet but subject to price we may decide to stay with Sky and move to Fibre - we are currently on copper to house for both broadband and landline. We intend to move to fibre for broadband and landline (presumably VOIP)

IF we do stay with Sky and move to fibre it's important to us to keep our landline phone number. But we cannot see how we specify that if we go through the process of changing to fibre. The best price was quoted on the phone and is not the upgrade link on our sky online account.

Can anyone please give advice on the best route through Sky to make sure we keep the landline number? Thanks for any help

@greenbike previous posts suggest that there is a significant risk that you'll lose your number, even if you ask to keep it, I'm afraid.

Ofcom describes number portability as 'expected' but acknowledges that ISPs cannot guarantee it.
