You had a telephone line then for which you paid rental with call charges on top. Broadband is still delivered via the same phone line (unless you have full fibre) whether you use the phone or not, so the line rental charge still applies, presumably to cover the cost to Openreach of repairing and maintaining the line.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;As &lt;a href="https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/4639"&gt;@Mark39&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;indicates, online advice to 'save money by cancelling an unused landline' is almost always erroneous because circuit rental is required to deliver terrestrial broadband.&amp;nbsp; The thing to check is that there isn't an unused inclusive voice call bundle attached to the broadband subscription.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
