Landline will not work since plugging into hub.

Phone dials ok but will not connect to anyone , it just has a 2 tone warble .

I've been with sky for a long time , but just had 150g Broadband installed early April . Don't use the landline much , but when I tried it wouldn't work.

I do not have another phone , only my mobile . But the landline worked perfectly before the engineer stopped it to the hub .

@IanG6 Have you checked the socket to make sure you get no dial tone. This will confirm that you are indeed supposed to plug the phone into the socket on the back of the rotuer. Does the router have a voice light and if so what colour is it?

Yes , I plugged the phone into the socket , but no dial tone , so I replugged it into the hub . I get a dialling tone and the phone rings the number but it then goes to a 2 tone warble .

@IanG6 So I take it that you have tried to re-start the router and see if the ability to use your house phone then works?

Yes , I've just bought a rhinocables RJ11 to BT socket adaptor to see if that works .

NO , it didn't work. I will try to contact sky and either they will fix it or I will stop sky talk .

In case you don't realise, Sky Talk is bundled with your broadband so you wouldn't be able to stop Sky Talk and move to another landline provider without cancelling broadband too.
