      <title>Landline is not working</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;We had Sky set up last week, including a new router and a visit from Openreach to upgrade to fibre broadband. The Internet is fine, but the landline does not work. It is plugged into the router as instructed. This seems to be a common problem but there is no direct answer in any of the threads.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;OK, first try restarting it, by switching it off at the plug for 30 seconds or so. Let us know if that doesn't resolve it, in which case there's most likelt a fault which will need reporting to Sky. If you wish, we can ask their messaging team to contact you here so that you can report it by way of a private online chat.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Look out for a blue/red chat 'bubble' towards the bottom of the page and an email inviting you to chat online. Replies from Sky may not be instant, so check back from time to time for updates. I've plugged it into the hub (I have a sky max hub) and also tried it directly in the phone socket, still nothing. &lt;P&gt;To get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who should be in touch with you regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page. It can take up to a few hours to be contacted via this.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This link explains how this works so you will need to respond to the chat bubble at the bottom of the page when it appears by typing it it to start the chat:&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;It does sometimes take longer than 24 hours for the phone service to be activated, but we can ask Sky's messaging team to contact you here tomorrow so that you can report it via a private online chat, if you wish?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
