Terrestrial broadband requires a data bearer cable: that's either a copper 'phone line' or an optical circuit. Without this, data from a traditional ISP cannot reach your address.

What you don't need to have is a subscription voice call service : the default Sky Talk Internet Calls has no additional cost as long as no outbound connections are made over the 'landline' (which really isn't any such thing these days)

Alternatively, just get a cellular service with a generous data allowance and use that, although terrestrial broadband is likely to be faster than anything other than 5G.

Broadband and landline are bundled together but to save some money you could make sure you are on the Pay as you Go option for landline so if you make no calls then there would be no additional monthly charge for it.
