Hi

ive just switched to sky broadband , but retained my landline. Will incoming landline calls still go through my BT protect so I don't get nuisance calls but can still accept friends etc.

No the calls will not go through BT Protect as you are no longer a customer of theirs but there is now the Sky Talk Shield instead:

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-talk-shield-start

Yes, to initially activate Sky Talk Shield, you have to speak directly to Sky. Call 150 on your landline.
