@Rpc Could you please try the troubleshooting link below if it finds a fault it should let you book an engineer.

Tried to replace rechargeable batteries in my cordless phone and then I cannot make or receive calls as line shows busy, ss can't receive or do calls

An engineer from open reach came today at my place as my landline wasn't working.

He tried to sort it out but 5 minutes after he left, it went wrong again. Sometimes it works and then I get an engaged or crackling tone. Can you please help
