No diall tone can't make or receive calls on sky talk landline

@Ronan8 Does your router have a oice light on it and is it green?

If your broadband hub has a voice light that is lit then the phone connection needs to be plugged into the back of it.

@Ronan8 Plug your phone into the back of the router and see if you get a dial tone.
