i have sky talk included within my subscription with sky broadband but want to cancel sky talk as i dont even have a landline

You can't cancel Sky Talk without also cancelling Sky Broadband. Just make sure you're on the Pay as you Talk package, which has no monthly subscription - you just pay for any calls you make, so no calls, no charge.

You do however have a data bearer (copper cable or optical fibre) delivering broadband to your address, and the rental cost for this is an unavoidable part of the monthly subscription.

Unfortunately for this reason the online advice to 'save money by cancelling an unused landline' is largely misleading.
