Porting Number from Virgin to Sky

Hi. My elderly dad is wanting to transfer to Sky TV, broadband and talk. He is wanting to know if he can keep his Virgin Number (had it a long time so everyone has it). Can anyone tell me if this is possible please?

If you go ahead, be sure that the Virgin service doesn't end before the Sky service is activated. If your dad doesn't have a separate BT master phone socket, let Sky know when you/he places the order as it's likely to cause a delay.
