Being billed for internet calls

Hello

I have had internet calls since May this year. My phone is plugged into my hub but I am getting billed for the calls I make.

My handset is old - do I need to get a new one? The socket on my phone is one of the little square ones, so it is plugged into a converter for the oblong socket on the hub.

Ringing Sky to ask what I have done wrong is a nightmare with wait times!

Any help would be gratefully received!

Charges for internet calls are exactly the same as for standard calls, I'm afraid, as are the call package options available to you.

It doesn't help that Sky's billing indicates that Sky VOIP is 'free'. What they mean is that provision of the service is free but you still have to pay for any calls you make.

Thank you so much! I had totally misunderstood when they said internet calls are free...I'll have to see what options there are for inclusive minutes...
