Landline old number

Hi,

This is my last attempt!! I need help!! I need to drastically get my old landline number back. We've just changed our Wi-Fi over and fitted it this morning and the landline number has now changed. I need the old number back as we've had that number for over 40 years. Please can you help and get me out of a situation! Many thanks

@KH5 You're only asking fellow customers who can't do anything.

As the number is lost it's unlikely at can be retrieved. When moving to a different provider there is no guarantee the number can be ported.

As per Sky's help page

Your phone number

Most of the time you can keep your existing number when moving to Sky Talk. Just let us know your existing number and your phone provider when placing your order.

If we can’t transfer your number or you want a new one, you’ll get an email or letter with your new number. Or sign in to My Account to see it.

@KH5 Sky have no way of retrieving your old number, I'm afraid, if your old account has been cancelled (as it would as part of the xswitching arrangemenf).

This happened to us when upgrading from the old Wi-Fi to fibre all within Sky and they couldn't recover our old number, it would be very nice to know why not?
