I would guess that the calls were from a scammer or some other miscreant who has randomly spoofed your phone number so that the call appears genuine but can't be traced back to them. It's not uncommon.

I have had two separate people saying they'd had a missed call from me and I definitely haven't called them. What is this?

Instantly thinking some kind of fraud 🙄

I've had about 8 calls now, rang up Sky twice as self employed and trying to run a business, installed apps they suggested and all other steps. Still getting calls, been 2 weeks. Hoping someone comes up with a solution rather than what the problem is??

There is no currently adopted telecoms industry 'solution' which prevents number spoofing.

STIR/SHAKEN is a proposal which would help, but has yet to gain traction.

Most likely scammers. They spoof your number. It has been referred to on here quite a lot. They normally move on to another number before too long. There's nothing you can do to stop it I'm afraid.

It could be that scammers are making scam calls but spoofing it to make it look like the number the calls are coming from is yours. There isn't much you can do but should this continue you could ask Sky about cancelling the sim so they can issue you with another one that will have a different number.
