Caller display suddenly not working

Today at 8 a.m. the phone rang. I always take a look before answering to see if I know the caller or if it's a "dodgy" foreign number. The display showed the word "calling".....and every subsequent call today has been the same. I spent 90 minutes on the phone with Sky (kept being put on hold while they ran checks. The conclusion was that there were no faults on the line and it was my handsets. Now last night at 6:40 caller display was working fine today at 8 a.m. neither of the two handsets were. Any thoughts or observations anyone? The handsets are BT 4600 top ranked by Which and are a year old maybe. Battery function and charging is fine.

Caller display worked fine on my old Panasonic phones. I have recently bought new Panasonic ones and caller display only works intermittently and most f the time says 'incoming call' only.
