Landline not working

Hi just got told today by a relation that my landline is not working - I have gone through the trouble shooting points on the Sky site & nothing seems to be wrong the the line is still down. Please help[

@mark9111 Did this just happen out of the blue or did you change your broadband package with Sky or just join Sky. Also what do callers hear when they try to call you?

Hi Highliner thanks for the quick response i have not changed my package with Sky & have been on their servives for a number of years.

The relation who tried to call me on his mobile got an engaged signal & informed me via an E-mail

@mark9111 What happens when you pick up the phone? Do you hear a dial tone or is there nothing and it sounds like someone is on the other end. Has your broadband been acting up at all because of this?

Hi Highlinder when you pick up the Phone to dial there is no dial tone there is no sound at all - the Broadband works fine

@mark9111 Do you have any other means of reporting this issue to Sky as you have gone through the troubleshooting and it has not found anything wrong.

Hi Highlinder I've contacted Sky & it turns out there is a fault on the line & they are sending out an Engineer to sort the problem - Thanks for your help
