Sky to BT call issue

There's a growing number of complaints that Sky customers can't call BT landline phone numbers being reported on various forums.

Other providers are able to connect successfully to those BT landline phone numbers.

Are the Sky moderators aware of the issue and Sky working with BT to identify and resolve?

Will probably get more apparent over the next few days as people call to thank eachother over the festive period.

@cymru123If you have not already made Sky aware of the issues that you are having you can dial 150 on your landline and report this issue. The more people that do this they may not know this issue is going on, or how wide-spred that it is.

@Highlinder unfortunately I'm not a Sky customer, the post was to try and get make the Sky moderators aware and to prompt action to resolve. It was also to highlight to other customers who are experiencing the issue so they were also aware and can help triage the issue by providing Sky a list of customers they can check against.

I have a similar problem calling one particular BT landline so have reported it via 150 to elevate awareness.

I too am having the same problem .

It is only one BT number and when I call says there landline is no longer in use .Is also the same when I try from my mobile .

I do not understand this as everyne else can phone this number . They are nt with sky though .

Don't know how to rectify this .

@gt2456 unfortunatly you'll have to contact Sky customer services and make them aware of the number you can't call. Worth also getting the otherside to also report the issue to their provider BT with your number you've tried calling from so they are aware too.

Be good if there was any moderator from Sky to provide any update on this issue as even though no that many have posted here there does seem to be pockets having this call routing issue.

hi @cymru123 did you ever get to the bottom of this issue? I'm a BT customer who also can't receive calls from anyone who calls me from a sky landline or mobile.

Hi @twok unfortunately it would seem this issue between Sky and BT is still ongoing.

If not done so already, raise the issue with BT your provider with examples of the numbers that can't call you.

Then get those with Sky for mobile and/or landline to contact Sky so they can provide Sky with the number they tried calling and from what service (e.g sky mobile or landline)

Hopefully then both sides can trace where the issue is but it needs both Sky and BT to work together on this
