https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Talk/Landline-making-a-funny-noise-cannot-make-calls/m-p/4162215#M79119 <P>Hi everyone.&nbsp; I have plugged in my modem, wifi is working fine on the tv.&nbsp; But my landline just gives out a weird noise and there is no dialling tone i.e. you cannot make a call.&nbsp; As per the instructions, the plug from the phone which is supposed to go into the modum doesn't fit.&nbsp; It fits in the Ireland socket in the modem but not the UK one.&nbsp; So I dont know what to do.&nbsp; Someone suggested a splitter but I dont know what one to get.&nbsp; I dont even know if its the phone line.&nbsp; &nbsp;Does anyone have any suggestions please? It's the larger plug in the image below.
