do you really need to have a telephone connected to your broadband im paying for brodband and sky talk but im never going to use the landline so dont see the point in buying one

If you are on the pay as you talk tariff and don't make any calls then the broadband is the only thing you are paying for

yeh i think it is but do you need to have a phone line connected to the broadband in order for the broadband to work, don't really want to have a home phone in the house when im not going to use it

You need a copper or fibre line for broadband and its the same line for phones. But again if you are pay as you talk and make no calls or have no phone then you are just paying for broadband

Phone lines, yes. Home phone, no.
