Number Porting

Please be gentle, I'm a Newby.

Having just jumped ship from Virgin after many years I have a question regarding the number porting of my phone. Will the number be ported from Virgin to Sky BEFORE my contract with Virgin ends or will I have to wait until my contract ends (ends on 6/8/2026, Sky contract started 27/7/2026)

All services went live 28-29 of this month except telephone of course.

@Yowfailed is your landline phone plugged into your broadband Hub, and does it have a dial tone?

Ive plugged my phone into the hut, no dial tone. Ive also dialed my number which rings out in the headset of the dialling phone but doesn't ring the phone?

@Yowfailed it looks like activation of your ohone service hasn't completed yet, then. I wouldn't expect it to be delayed until 6/8/2026, though.
