Firstly to help you.

Is the Chime shadowing a blue light?

If not, try removing the power cable and ethernet cable from the Chime, leaving out for about a minute and then replace the cables and let the Chime connect (it can take several minutes) and show a blue light.

Ok, at what stage is anything working and failing to connect the Chime and doorbell through the process?

Through until the pairing process then I just sit and watch the countdown and then failed to connect!

Ok thanks, let's try and check some other things.

When you press sync on the Chime and then doorbell, are you hearing the message 'Your Doorbell is pairing. It won't take long'

Also at that point are the Chime and Doorbell both flashing blue and yellow?

Not sure how close the Chime and doorbell are when pairing.

Try having them both about two metres apart when doing the pairing.
