Adding user

Why is it so difficult to add another user, all I keep getting from sky is the same chap.

Add using the people tab, there is no people tad.

Go to profile setting, no profile setting.

Add on user tab, no place to add.

I am the primary user, it's my account and, of course, there is no one available on the chat.

One of the four tabs on the bottom of the app homepage is Users, click on that.

Select Add user.

Enter the user's name, email, and phone number, as it requests.

Tap Add user.

An email invitation will be sent to them.

On accepting the invite, they will need to set up their own account, as instructed in the email.

Problem is there is nothing in that tab to add user

I'm having the same problem, there isn't an option to add a second user

I have the same issue and google found this: If the button is completely absent despite being the primary user, reach out to Sky support directly to refresh your account permissions on their server side.

I amcurrently waiting for someone to speak to me on the webchat as i gave up waiting yesteday

@Martin1637 When you open the app and go to settings >>> select home>> Swiitch home>> How many options do you have? Is it one or two?

Hi, when I go to settings there is no fine option other than the main tabs at the bottom. Certainly nothing that says select home

In the Sky Smart Home app, click on settings.

You should see the Home tab, as below.

It may show a couple of account options under Switch Homefor selection.

Also try a swipe down from the top of the app, that may bring that Home section into focus.

That is the version i am using. Finally got a response from sky on the chat though:

I understand there's an ongoing issue with the Smart Home app.

Our backend team is actively working on a resolution, which may temporarily affect the visibility of certain features.

Don't worry, we'll reach out to your updated mobile number once the issue is resolved.

They said should be resolved in 7-10 working days and the charges will be amended once resolved

I am having exactly the same issue. I keep going around in circles and cannot find the way out of this loop; the app is faulty. like you, I am the primary account holder, there is no people tab and no way of adding a secondary user. It is SO frustrating.

There is NO add user option on my app.

My app updated earlier today and is now showing the add user option. Not tried it yet but will do tomorrow
